There’s nothing that smells better than a lemon lavender sugar scrub.
Well, maybe not exactly like that. But we’re pretty proud of our own homemade lemon lavender sugar scrub recipe. Because, well, it smells amazing and leaves your skin feeling extra soft.
Sugar scrubs are easy to make, are easy on your wallet, and you can have fun making different combinations of all sorts.
But don’t take our word for it. Try making it at home and gift some to your friends!
Lemon lavender sugar scrub ingredients
For this recipe, you’ll need:
- One lemon
- About 8 lavender flowers
- 2 Tablespoons of honey
- 1 Cup of white sugar
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 10 drops of lavender essential oil
- 8-10 drops of Vitamin E oil or almond oil (optional)
Sugar scrub recipe directions
First, separate your sugar evenly into two bowls (1/2 cup each) and then add a tablespoon of your favorite honey to each.
Add a tablespoon of lemon natural lemon juice to one bowl, mix in your Vitamin E oil (optional) mix well and set aside.
Then, in a small blender, add your lavender buds with a tablespoon of water, and blend into a mushy paste. If you don’t want to use a blender, you can also mince your lavender buds and forgo the water.
Add into your other sugar bowl, mix in your lavender essential oil, then mix well.
In a small mason jar, spoon in a bit of your lemon scrub and then a little bit of your lavender scrub at a time. Seal and keep in the fridge for up to a month.
